Founder & Executive Director

Jordan has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Global Poverty from University of California, Berkeley. Additionally, he has received numerous leadership-based scholarships from both Santa Rosa Junior College and UC Berkeley including the Cal Alumni Leadership Award and the Blum Center for Developing Economies Fellowship for his remarkable work in the developing world. Jordan also has over 12 years of medical training, working as an Emergency Medical Technician and a credentialed instructor for the American Red Cross. Jordan currently resides in Sebastopol, California, which has been home to his family since the late 1800s. Jordan is also West Sonoma County's elected representative on the Sonoma County Junior College District Board of Trustees. With his determination and passion, Jordan envisions CHI becoming a strong global organization focused on helping every child in need.

CHI Academy - Kenya Programs Manager

James has been with CHI since the inception. He is a teacher by profession, registered with the Kenyan Teachers Service Commission. James is a graduate from Kenyatta University with a Bachelors in Early Childhood Studies. James also has a degree in Project Management from the Kenyan Institute of Management. Currently he is studying for his Masters in Business Administration with an emphasis in strategic management at Jomo Kenyatta University.

James is also an author and currently in the process of having his first book, “The smile of your journey” published. James has over ten years of experience as a school administrator, working in schools such as Gladways Academy, Wankan Academy and Spleng school. James is committed to CHI’s mission and looks forward to expanding CHI’s programs throughout Kenya.

Summer Abroad Coordinator

Joe has been working/volunteering with CHI since its origination in 2010. He is native to Kenya, and has been living in the United States since 2011. His passion is to help broaden the mindset of youth to realize the vast potential of becoming a global citizen. Joe speaks three languages fluently, Kikuyu, Swahili, and English. He is currently attending the Santa Rosa Junior College, majoring in Political Science, and plans to transfer to a university.
